Bavaria´s Way to Modernity
The
Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation takes part in the exhibition "Bavaria´s
Way to Modernity". This exhibition
takes place at the "Deutsches Museum" in Munich from May 6 thru October
29, 2006. The "Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte" shows important exhibits
of Bavarian handycraft which were created between 1806 and 2006. Among
the exhibits there is also a guitar manufactured by Hermann Hauser
III, built in 2004. At the commemorative
event of the Government of Upper Bavaria at the Deutsches Museum
on May 6, 2006, young talent Martin Zimny played music composed by
the Bavarian composer Heinrich Albert. Some 400 guests were present
at the this event, including the former secretary of research Prof.
Dr. Heinz Riesenhuber, the Bavarian secretary of science, research
and art Dr. Thomas Goppel, the president of the "Bayerischer
Handwerkstag" Heinrich Traublinger and the general director
of the Deutsches Museum Prof. Dr. Wolfgang M. Heckl. Even the German
Space Shuttle astronaut Ulrich Walter enjoyed the felicitous recital
of Heinrich Albert pieces, played on a 1913 Hauser guitar, which
was manufactured for the Spanish guitar viruoso Miguel Llobet by
Hermann Hauser I.
We´d like to congratulate our very young talent Martin Zimny
on his very felicitous and professional commitment in the range of
the commemorative event of the Government of Upper Bavaria
