There´s no woman
so fast asleep that the sound of a guitar wouldn´t lure her to
the window (Spanish saying)

So it happened that I was offered
a ticket for the Los Romeros´ concert in Munich.
Sharing the scepticism of
young people as for classical concerts, I kept my expectations very low.
And was favorably surprised. The music
put me into a state of daydreams. Some pieces of music caused real film
sequences to be displayed on my inner eye.
Finally, after a short period
of reticency, no one of the audience could elude the sentiment of Spanish
music. The standing ovations at the end of the concert were evidence
of unlimited energy that was transferred from the artists to the audience
by the means of guitars. All the more was I surprised,
because I wouldn´t have expected this kind of excitement with such
a distinguished audience.
Nevertheless, I´m not sure if this experience is able to minimize
my reservations as to classical concerts. I prefer classical music in
top sound quality an in a comfortable environment. Also, I don´t
feel that 1,000 like-minded attending persons are a sensory advantage.
Without challenging the performance of the artists,
I sensed this concert of serious music very enjoyable.
